What is perimenopause?

  • It begins many years before your last period and lasts between 4 and 8 years.

  • It begins with changes in the length of time between periods and ends 1 year after the final menstrual period.

  • The symptoms include:

  • Irregular periods.

  • PMS is worse

  • Hot flushes

  • Tender breast

  • Reduced sex drive

  • Fatigue.

  • Vaginal dryness;

  • Sex becomes uncomfortable

  • Weeing a little when you cough or sneeze
